Dr. Joe Roberts

Dr. Joe Roberts was raised in Salem, Oregon. He received his Bachelors of Science from George Fox University prior to attending Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school Joe began practicing at a mixed animal practice in Roseburg, Oregon, where he spent four and a half years honing his medicine and surgical skills. He then moved to the drier side of the state and work another busy mixed animal practice. While in central Oregon, Joe focused on equine medicine and surgery while continuing to see small animal patients. In February of 2010, Joe and his wife Lindsay decided it was time to open their own practice.

Joe and his wife have one child, Addison. When not working Joe enjoys being an active husband and father. In his spare time he likes bird watching, upland game bird hunting, road biking and camping. When not taking care of animals at his office he is likely to be working on one of his own which consists of 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 horses.

Dr. Joe maintains professional memberships in the American Association of Equine Professionals and the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Laura Bailey

Dr. Laura Bailey joined our staff in December 2012. Dr. Laura grew up in Southern California and attended veterinary school at Oregon State University. Dr. Laura practices small animal medicine and has a special interest in ophthalmology.
Dr. Laura and her husband, Paul (also a veterinarian), have three children. The family raises sheep and enjoys spending time together outdoors. We are very pleased that Dr. Laura has joined our practice.

Denise, Receptionist

Denise was born in Portland, Oregon. She and her family now reside on their ranch in Oakland. They have a variety of Quarter Horses, dogs and cats. Denise moved to Oakland from Custer, South Daktoa. Prior to working at CVC, Denise worked in an equine hospital in Gilroy, California. In her free time, Denise is an avid gardener, birdwatcher and enjoys life on the ranch.

Melissa, CVT

Melissa is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She grew up in Roseburg and earned her associates degree from Portland Community College. In her spare time, Melissa has one dog and enjoys spending time with her family and golfing.

Cathy, Office Manager/Veterinary Technician

Cathy joined our practice in March 2013. She brings many years of management and technician experience to our team. When you visit our clinic you may find Cathy assisting in procedures as well as working in the front office. We are lucky to have such a versatile team member! Cathy and her family live in Oakland.

Dede, Veterinary Technician

Dede came out of “retirement” to join our practice in 2014. In the clinic you will find her assisting the doctors with equine and small animal patients.

Ruthe, Technician Assistant

Ruthe was born and raised in the Roseburg/Sutherlin area. She has past experience with both large and small animal practice and loves to help wherever she can. At home in Roseburg she has two high energy dogs to keep her busy on her days off.
